First Annual Community Celebration Dinner

Queens Borough Commissioner Maura McCarthy
NYC Department of Transportation
 
was a smash success.  High on top of the Four-Points Sheraton Hotel, with the majestic view of the city behind them, Commissioners Lewandowski and McCarthy received the credit for their hard work they have done for Astoria and Queens at large.  They were honored by speeches and proclamations  from esteemed persons as NYS Assemblywoman Margret Markey,  NY Assemblywoman Aravella Simotas,  NYS Assemblywoman Cathy Nolan, NYC Councilman Peter Vallone Jr., NYC Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer, and NYC Comptroller John Liu.  These notable civic leaders and the over 200 people from the Astoria and Long Island City area in attendance are standing testament to the dedication to duty the honorees have shown.
