Rent Guidelines Board Order #39

2007-2008

On June 26, 2007, the New York City Rent Guidelines Board (RGB) issued an order, RGBO#39, setting the rent increases landlords may take for rent stabilized apartments on renewal leases commencing October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008. This year, regardless on who pays for the heat, the rent guidelines will be the same.

                             - 3.00% for a one year lease;

                            

                             - 5.75% for a two year lease.

 

Rent Guidelines Board Order#38

2006-2007

On June 27, 2006, the New York City Rent Guidelines Board (RGB) issued an order, RGBO#38, setting the rent increases landlords may take for rent stabilized apartments on renewal leases commencing October 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007.

As the previous two years, the increase will depend on who pays for the heat:

If the landlord pays for heat, the rent increase is 4.25% for a one-year lease or 7.25% for a two-year lease.

If the tenant pays for heat, the rent increase is 3.75% for a one-year lease or 6.75% for a two-year lease.

 

Rent Guidelines Board Order#37

2005-2006

On June 21, 2005 the New York City Rent Guidelines Board (RGB) issued an order, RGBO#37, setting the rent increases landlords may take for rent stabilized apartments on renewal leases commencing October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006.

For the second year, the increase will depend on who pays for the heat:

If the landlord pays for heat, the rent increase is 2.75% for a one-year lease or 5.5% for a two-year lease.

If the tenant pays for heat, the rent increase is 2.25% for a one-year lease or 4.5% for a two-year lease.

 

Rent Guidelines Board Order#36

2004-2005

 

On June 30, 2004 the New York City Rent Guidelines Board (RGB) issued an order, RGBO#36, setting the rent increases landlords may take for rent-stabilized apartments on renewal leases commencing October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005.  For the first time since the 1980's, the increase will depend on who pays for heat.

If the landlord pays for heat, the rent increase is 3.5% for a one-year lease or 6.5% for a two-year lease.

If the tenant pays for heat, the rent increase is 3% for a one-year lease or 6% for a two-year lease.
